pH adjustment
When in contact with the water in your machine, the magnesium in the pouch releases magnesium hydroxide and hydrogen.
This reaction increases the pH up to 10, an optimal level for neutralizing the majority of bacteria, viruses, germs, and odors present on your laundry. Additionally, it helps dissolve sebum on clothes. This is all you need for 90% of your laundry.
